On December 6, 2019, the curtain rose on the 2nd World Eco-Design Conference in Guangzhou, co-hosted by the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the China Industrial Design Association.
World Eco-Design Conference (UN Consultative NGO) is a consultative organization of the United Nations approved by the ECOSOC. Under the theme "Innovative Design, Tailoring Dreams," the event saw Thailand, Cambodia, and Bangladesh honored as the main guest countries, with delegates from over 30 countries' design organizations, higher education institutions, and renowned enterprises in attendance.
The ceremony highlighted the announcement of the world's first "City of Customization," awarding the title to Guangzhou, China, and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
